 Topic 1 The first story I read for this class was The Man in the Moon . I thought it was interesting how a living being could be turned into an inanimate object but still have feelings and thoughts. When I re-wrote this story I told the story from the perspective of the Moon. I'd like to further explore story-telling from inanimate objects and I think there are quite a few different possibilities with that approach.  The Moon - Source here   Topic 2  I'm sure we are all familiar with Tarzan or the Jungle Book. They're both stories about people raised by wild animals . This topic is interesting to me because of all the possibilities. I have found myself in many situations where someone with a fixed mindset would not listen to what I was saying. I’ve been the Moon longer than I can remember. I can’t speak, I can’t blink. All I can do is orbit the Earth and stare. I wish I could talk to that wise old man one more time. At this point I wouldn’t even wish to turn back; I would just curse him out and punch him in his old, wrinkled face. But he’s dead so long ago. I saw it. When the time came, I was so happy, but I realized I’d be stuck like this for eternity. The Sun used to be so bright, and so very hot. But I’m used to it now.  The story that intrigued me the most was " The Man on The Moon ". Right after I read the title I was reminded of an old John Lewis Christmas commercial that was about a man on the Moon. However, these two stories told very different stories.  " The Man on The Moon"  focuses on a blacksmith that is not content with who he is. Throughout the story he is always wanting to be something else. A wise man herd his pleas and turned the blacksmith into a stone where it would be cool and windy, because it was too hot being a blacksmith. Eventually the man became tired of being a rock after a stone cutter began to cut him. The man requested he be a stone cutter and he was turned into one. Eventually the man became tired with who he was and asked to be the Sun. The wise man complied and turned him into the Sun. After being the Sun the man realized it was way too hot and asked to be the Moon. Being the Moon was not what the man thought it would be like and did not like how the ...
